Join local CEOs, investors, and the next generation of entrepreneurs for a forum on the development of Sacramento’s innovation economy. A collaborative venture between University of the Pacific and Velocity Venture Capital, the MBA Showcase is the culmination of a four-month program in which business students and working professionals are taught by Sacramento’s leading entrepreneurs and investors. The event highlights the efforts by UOP’s Eberhardt School of Business and Velocity Venture Capital to educate the region’s next generation of entrepreneurial leaders as the Sacramento business community launches its innovation economy. The event includes a panel discussion by regional business leaders, new business pitches by young entrepreneurs, and a chance to network with others interested in innovative and entrepreneurial leadership.

• Opening remarks by Mayor Kevin Johnson

• CEO Panel Discussion moderated by Jack Crawford and Dan Wadhwani including:
- Yatish Mishra, CEO of Raging Wire
- Data Center/ Cloud Hosting company with national footprint
- Hayes Barnard, CEO of Paramount Energy Solutions
- Solar PV for the US residential market
- Mark Otero, CEO of KlickNation
- Social media / gaming company launched on Facebook platform

• Key Note Presentation by Phil Wickham, CEO of the Kauffman Fellows Program

- The Kauffman Fellows Program is a division of the Kauffman Foundation, the world’s largest foundation devoted to entrepreneurship.

• “Classroom to Boardroom” Pitch, 8-minute verbal presentations from 5 MBA teams
