Velocity Venture Capital drives the success of seed and early-stage technology companies in the greater Sacramento region with investment capital and management support. Our team has worked with more than 50 technology-driven companies, managed thousands of employees, hundreds of millions of dollars in sales, and we have been instrumental in multi-billion dollar exits, creating wealth for entrepreneurs and investors. We have assembled this team to provide our portfolio companies with both the operational business experience and the industry expertise required for large-scale entrepreneurial success.

Company-Building Takes Teamwork

Leveraging our seasoned fund management team, we partner with entrepreneurs to build valuable companies.  We actively seek management talent, board members, strategic partners, and potential customers to add to our portfolio companies. We also assist in the company-building process by bringing significant efficiencies to fundraising. We work to build investment syndicates of angel investors, strategic corporate investors, and venture funds to invest alongside our firm. Our team works with our portfolio companies to accelerate value-generating milestones.

Our investment thesis is to be the first institutional investor in technology-driven companies that are attacking billion dollar opportunities with unique and sustainable competitive advantages.  We focus on seed and early-stage investing and take an active role with each portfolio company. Given our geographic strategy of investing in companies headquartered in the greater Sacramento region, we have a broad sector focus that includes information technology, life sciences, and clean technology deals.  We believe that by partnering with entrepreneurs to build companies that quickly achieve profitability we maximize the opportunity for a lucrative exit--creating wealth for both company management and investors.
